Beermad is here to document the wonderful range of real ales produced by the brewers of the British Isles. The database contains details of every beer known to have been produced in the British Isles since about 1976.
Inevitably over the years, many beers will have been brewed and never heard of since, but Beermad lists all those for which information has been found. (Unfortunately, reliable information on Irish beers is hard to come by, so this is less comprehensive than information on the rest.)
With an average of something like 300 new beers being added every month, the Beermad database is growing fast, with 35 495 beers from 1 763 brewers, brands and beer companies currently listed.
As well as searching Beermad from the search box above, you can also download Opensearch plugins which allow you to search it directly from the search bar in your browser. Click on "Search plugins" in the extras menu.
With so many new producers and beers being added, the
latest additions page is a good place to see what's new. You can also keep up-to-date with new beers and breweries with Beermad's
email alerts service.

Finally, don't forget Beermad's extensive collection of about 2 000 beer-related links. Whether you're looking for brewery websites (Beermad currently links to brewers in 35 European countries), pubs with a web presence, pub guides (useful if you're travelling), drinkers' organisations (such as Camra, Zythos or PINT) or just somewhere to order a few bottles, Beermad has the links for you.
