Founded 1874. Merged with Castletown in 1986 and traded for a while as Isle of Man Breweries. All beers are brewed according to the island's 1874 brewers' act, which is a sort of Manx Reinheitsgebot.
Described by the first edition of the Good Beer Guide simply as 'Recommended.'
